Richmond Hotel Fukuoka Tenjin

The bed was comfortable and location was quiet and very convenient. Staff was so helpful. Loved the deep bathtub. Cleanest and best maintained room we've ever stayed.

There was no room to maneuver around the bed. It was probably a queen size, but right up against the wall. I'm too old to crawl in and out from the end of the bed. I probably chose the wrong room for two 70 year olds.

Really close to Kadena Air Force base.

The elevator always stops at the second floor no matter what you do, it’s unnecessary.

1. Tenjin is the busiest area in Fukuoka, and the hotel is one corner from the Main Street. Convenient enough but not noisy.2. The double room is spacious for Japan. 2 of us could open 3 pieces of luggages and we can still walk around.

If the lighting can be designed better for multiple-purpose use, it would be perfect.

TenJin is amazing and the location is great! Near parco and multiple malls and train stations so it’s easy to move around, near multiple yatais, combini stores and coffee shops! The rooms are very spacious and the desk is good in case you need to use your computer

Voices and sounds of objects hitting the wall from rooms next door was distracting

The hotel was in a very good location, close to transportation, shopping and many good restaurants. It was very clean. We also appreciated the coin laundry facilities. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was a little small but certainly adequate. The seating area was very tight. There was not much room to lay out a suitcase or to hang up clothes.

Excellent hotel with very comfortable beds, good size rooms and bathroom tubs.

I actually had no complaints with this property

The staffs are nice and speak politely. Location is very near to train station, which is a plus. Just the room abit small.Overall we are happy with the stay.

Mattress is too soft and I felt like I slept on the wooden bed frame Would be better if there is 2 day menu cycle as I stayed for a week and I ate the same breakfast for the whole week Room is too dark No bath chair , anti- slip for bathtub and bathroom for guest to borrow so I ordered the above 3 on line and sent to hotel in advance

Well located and clean. Good business style hotel in the centre of Tenjin.

We choose Eco type for cleaning the room.Not recommended. The price are very expensive on weekends.

the staff is nice. I can leave luggage before check-in time. the location is nice for me. 1 min walk to FamilyMart and there's food stalls in evening in the way.

Location and staff both excellent

Did not like having to choose cleaning options. And had to do this on the TV screen. Got it wrong and there was no cleaning that day, no fresh towels etc

Hotel is centrally located near the shopping belt and 2 train stations. Not a luxury hotel but value for money. Was surprised to see 3 yatai just outside the hotel as there weren't any during our stay in 2018. Range of amenities provided on level 1 is good.

During check-in, a front desk staff (who can speak English very well as he mentioned that he had been educated in HK for a while) was serving a HK guest and even offered some face masks/facial products (not in the range of amenities provided on level 1) to her. Not that we could not afford our own face masks (as they are already very cheap in Japan), but why the different treatment !!!! It was done right in front of other guests. He could have done it discreetly out of sight or hearing of other guests. Rooms were not cleaned and bedsheets not changed for one day as we had overlooked to indicate before 10am for room cleaning. However, we informed the front desk staff on our way out at 10.10am and they confirmed that housekeeping would clean and change the sheets for us. To our horror, nothing was done. Even the trash were not taken out. I would like to comfort myself that this was probably due to breakdown in communication as the front desk is not fluent in English. Hence, I would suggest that the hotel sends their front desk staff for simple conversational English lessons to better serve their guests from all over the world.
